Personal

I am a clinical social worker/therapist who is trained for looking through the lens of an integrative perspective. For one’s struggles to be best understood, the confusion surrounding the person needs to be taken into consideration, hence allowing for a more positive, meaningful, and long lasting outcome. I work with your individualized complexity and uniqueness of your particular environment so that we can collaborate in defining, understanding, assessing, planning, and targeting the goals which are important for you to achieve during therapy with me.

I am multi-lingual, having professional fluency in communicating in English, Hindi, Punjabi, and Urdu. I work well with teenagers and adults from many different backgrounds and experiences. I am originally from India and have been here for over 30 years.

Education/Training

I completed my dual undergraduate degree at Louisiana State University, receiving my Bachelors of Science (BS) in Psychology and Sociology in December 1996. Then I decided to continue my education by completing my Masters of Social Work (MSW) in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Houston Graduate School of Social Work (GSSW) in August 2001.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), certified by the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners (#37335). I am also a Certified Anger Resolution Therapist (CART), receiving my training from The Center For Anger Resolution, Inc. in Houston Texas. Additionally, I have attended and completed a 32 hour training conference entitled “Divorce Mediation Training Program” through The Conflict Resolution Training, Inc
